  5.          If  you run  a computer  related business,  or a  BBS, we
  6.       would  most appreciate your help in  giving out copies of PC
  7.       COMPLETE. You may wish to give out free copies to anyone who
  8.       comes to your shop, or a copy with every purchase..etc.
  9.  
  10.          We  thank  both  businesses  and Sysops  who  take  on PC
  11.       COMPLETE,  and in  return we  would like  to offer  you free
  12.       advertising with PC COMPLETE.
  13.  
  14.          In  this  edition of  PC COMPLETE  (issues 1-2),  we have
  15.       implemented a special function, which is as follows:
  16.               If   a  file  called    TELL.GIF  (or  TELL.PCX,  or
  17.       TELL.PIC)  is  found in  the  PC COMPLETE  directory,  it is
  18.       displayed everytime the reader exits PC COMPLETE. If another
  19.       file called  TALK.DAT is found (no matter what it contains),
  20.       the  words "CALL US FOR  MORE INFORMATION" is spoken through
  21.       the PC speaker (if the sound option is on.)
  22.  
  23.          Simply  create your  ADD/MESSAGE with  a graphics editor,
  24.       and  save it as one of the  files mentioned above (in one of
  25.       these  formats: .GIF, .PCX, .PIC) and  copy this file to the
  26.       original,  un-installed  copy of  PC COMPLETE.  Your message
  27.       could  contain  general information/location/phone  no., BBS
  28.       number  and  specialities,  special offers  for  PC COMPLETE
  29.       readers...etc.
  30.          To  create the  second file,  TALK.DAT, simply  issue the
  31.       command:  ECHO PC COMPLETE  > TALK.DAT ,  this will create a
  32.       text  file called TALK.DAT with  the words PC COMPLETE, copy
  33.       this  file  as  well  to  the  original  disk containing the 
  34.       uninstalled version of PC COMPLETE.

  36.          Obviously  some  sysops  do  not  approve  of  commercial
  37.       advertisement  on their BBS's.  So, if you  wish to upload a
  38.       copy  of PC COMPLETE  which includes an 'add',  it is a good
  39.       idea  to ask the  sysop before hand.  And, obviously, sysops
  40.       have  the option to leave or  delete the files TELL.XXX, and
  41.       TALK.DAT.

  43.          Do  not  attempt to  copy  these files  to  the installed
  44.       version, and then archiving it etc...
  45.       PC  COMPLETE has been equipped to handle these files if they
  46.       are  included on the original disk (or a disk containing the
  47.       uninstalled  version),  all you  have  to do  is  follow the
  48.       instructions above.

  50.          Now,  you  can  give  out  copied  of   the  un-installed
  51.       version  of  PC  COMPLETE  to  your  costumers  and acquain-
  52.       tances,  and as they give it to their friends,  they will be 
  53.       distributing your advertisement/message along with it.
